Four out of ten of the adults in the Tanda village in Guinea are attending evangelistic Bible teaching.
After the session on the fall of man, one woman said, "Wow, Adam and Eve really destroyed it all for us. It is so true -- just look at the thorns in our fields. Look how hard we must work."
Commenting on Noah and the flood, the head religious leader of the village said to Ron, "I tell you the truth, what you taught last night and what we know is totally different." On the third night of the teaching missionaries Ron and Heather Yearwood were on their way home feeling a little discouraged with the attendance, but as they walked they were encouraged by folks greeting them and saying, "We heard every thing you said tonight and we heard it clearly."
The teaching is being broadcast on loudspeakers and many people told the missionaries that they were listening to the teaching.
After two weeks of teaching one learned man in the village said, "Their [the missionaries'] book must be true. It was the first book that was given by God."
Ron was encouraged after he taught on the tower of Babel. A village leader who had not missed a session said, "Don't stop Ron! Keep talking and teaching us until all evil is removed from this part of the earth where we Tandas live."
This same man, when discussing the teaching with other religious leaders in the village, said that he is convinced that what he is hearing in the teaching is the truth.
The missionary team of Ron and Heather, Rodger and Jen Enters, and Darcy and Liz Dueck began the teaching on April 28. They teach Bible lessons Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and literacy classes Mondays and Fridays.
Pray for the Tandas who are hearing new things, that God's truth will penetrate the hearts of all who are listening to the teaching.
