NEW STUDENT IN NEW BIBLE CLASS

Lola

May 11, 2007

by Ian Fallis

Lola hasn't walked in three years, but made it to a new Bible class that started this week among the Tala Andig people of the Philippines.

Lola and her family were ambushed in their field three years ago. All of them were shot. Lola was hit in three places and was left unable to walk.

When missionary Josh Moffit met her recently, she asked for a pair of crutches.

"Josh said he would get the crutches for her and he encouraged her to attend the next Bible class," wrote Jeff's wife, Belinda. "We got her the crutches, but we weren't sure she would actually come."

But she did not have to walk to the teaching. Her relatives, who are believers, rented a vehicle to pick her up for the lesson and to take her home again.

Please pray that Lola will continue to come and listen to the teaching, and "that she will believe in the only One who can truly heal and forgive," Belinda wrote.
