NEW BRIDGE GIVES OPPORTUNITY FOR OUTREACH

May 4, 2006

by Dena McMaster

The bridge recently built by the Tanda missionary team with the help of Friends in Action has changed the lives of the missionaries as well as people in surrounding villages. Before the bridge was built the roads were impassable during the three month long rainy season.

The bridge now makes it possible to travel between villages and to cities in the area all year round. Because of the new improvement, a gap between the missionaries and the Tanda people has also been bridged. Several villages have become more open to hearing the Gospel message. Previously the missionaries had not been welcomed but the bridge has made a difference.

The elders of one have village invited the missionaries to come teach them about this "new religion." Pray for the missionaries as they reach out to other villages.
