MOSES TAKES LEADERSHIP SERIOUSLY

Moses and Delfina are key members of the Guanano church.

February 11, 2008

by Dena McMaster

Moses, a Guanano believer in Brazil, agreed to lead his fellow missionaries while missionaries Lindy and Carol Drake and Barry and Denise Spor were absent from the tribe.

"Moses took the leadership responsibility seriously," wrote Lindy, "and met with several believers personally to encourage them in their walk with the Lord and participation in church life."

The Drakes and Spors will meet together soon to discuss what they hope to accomplish in the Guanano ministry this year. They will be publishing the book of Genesis in the Guanano language and will finish teaching the book of 1 Corinthians to the believers. Teaching on 1 Timothy and Titus will begin in the near future. The missionary team also intends to focus on developing other Guanano leaders like Moses.

Pray for the Drakes and Spors as they make plans for their ministry to the Guananos. Pray for Moses as he develops into a capable leader. Pray also that other Guanano men will rise to the challenge to lead and encourage their fellow believers.
