The Inapang people of Papua New Guinea are fascinated by the few Biblical truths they have already heard and thirst for more.
Missionaries Bill and Kelly Housley and Daniel and Elizabeth Moore plan to start three months of Creation to Christ teaching in June. Already many of the Inapangs, who have heard fragments of the Bible while helping with translation, are eager to hear the rest.
Since Kletus heard about God when he helped Bill translate Genesis, he no longer hunts pigs alone because he is afraid to die without knowing more. He says he is afraid because he doesn't know what the truth is and he wants to hear what God has to say about it.
"Whatever you do, don't leave us before you finish this work with us. We want to hear the whole story," Kletus told Bill.
Daniel recently taught a lesson to several Inapangs that mentioned God's omnipresence. After the lesson the Inapangs went to the Housleys and began asking questions.
As they talked, the men were amazed that spirits can move in and out of physical places without hindrance. The Inapangs believe that by building their houses a certain way they can keep bad spirits out. It surprised them to hear that their attempts were futile.
The Housleys ask for prayer for the group of six Inapang men involved in the translation, Bible lesson, and checking process, that what they hear will fall upon good soil and grow.
