NEW TEAM MEMBERS!

Our Complete Team!!

Our Complete Team!!

May 22, 2007

by Chad Mankins

We are so thrilled to announce that we are now a complete team!

We recently had a visit from Jason & Nisae Williamson and their 3 children Kadynn (5), Judah (3), and Eden (20 mos). After sitting down together with this wonderful couple, who hail from Toledo, Ohio, God led us in the unanimous conclusion that they can come join the team here and give us the much-needed help to continue and finish the work God has for us here in Toboland!

The ideal for our mission is that we work in families of 3 here in PNG. We have been praying for a third couple to join us in the Tobo ministry since we first moved into the village 5 years ago, and up until now, God’s answer to us has been “Wait”. He has seen fit to use the Knapps and us to carry on here, and has graciously provided the wherewithal to move forward. That said, teaching, translation, discipleship-- the ongoing workload for the 2 of us couples has been staggering here at times, and it picks up even more for the ones left behind during one of our furloughs or medical absences.

So, as you can imagine, the addition of Jason and Nisae and their family has been an incredible “shot” of encouragement, as we see their gifts matching up well with what is needed here in the Tobo work. The people here, believers and unbelievers alike, have enthusiastically welcomed the Williamsons. Also, our landowners (and new brothers in Christ) Alis and Morosin have graciously and joyfully given more ground adjacent to our house areas for Jason & Nisae to build their home. And our leadership team in Madang has given their full blessing and support to this decision and are more than happy to welcome them to our region.

Would you please pray for the Williamsons? They will be very busy in the coming months. As we know firsthand, moving into a tribal work is a lot of work! Planning and purchasing supplies and materials for housebuilding both from town and in the “bush” here, coordinating flights, loading and unloading, etc. will be huge tasks for them. We as a team are standing with Williamsons in trusting God to provide the necessary finances for them to be able to begin buying supplies in these next few months, and move in and build their house in October. God was so faithful to provide everything needed for both Knapps and us to move in and build our homes back in 2002, so we are confident that God will provide for our new partners as well. If anyone is interested in contributing to this need, it is easy to do through our mission’s website at www.ntm.org and you would look up Jason & Nisae Williamson and give to their account.

Another thing that I’m sure would be a big encouragement to Jason & Nisae would be to drop them an email at Jason_Williamson@ntm.org .. Feel free to rejoice together with us, and get to know our new partners!

And we’d love to hear from you, too, and answer any questions you may have about this new expansion of our ministry as the Tobo team.

Thanks again for your part in reaching Toboland for Christ and equipping the new Tobo saints for ministry!!

Chad, Janeene & Elijah

For Jason, Kellie, Micah, Sophia, & Malachi Knapp, and Jason, Nisae, Kadynn, Judah, & Eden Williamson
