The Tobo believers continue to grow!

Thanks so much for praying, as we now have more than 40 brothers and sisters in Christ among the Tobo people. From October 2006 to January 2007, the Tobo people heard the greatest story ever told in their own language for the very first time in history!

We took the Tobo people who came to hear this message through about 65 lessons, starting with Creation in Genesis and working through a historical overview of the Old Testament and into the life of Christ, culminating in His death, burial, and resurrection. Praise God for the response of those who believed the Gospel message!

These were and continue to be exciting days, as the new believers continue to learn and grow.  For the remainder of 2007, we have seen many of them grasp the precious truth of what Christ has done for them and have a solid basis for telling others that great news.

Last October, we returned to the USA for a 6-month furlough (which has been extended due to paperwork issues).  In November, Ezekiel Wayne (Zeke) joined our family through the awesome gift of adoption.  He is now 6 months old (as of May) and both of our boys are a real joy in our lives! We praise God for them daily!

Though we've been here in the USA, our partners the Knapps and Williamsons continued to see God work in incredible ways among the Tobo church at Jason K. has taken them through a study of the book of Acts. At the end of last year and moving into the early months of this year, there have been at least 10 men and women who have shown the community a vivid testimony of their newfound faith through the beautiful picture of baptism.

Please pray with us for these dear men and women, as they remain faithful to share the Good News with others in the community in spite of strong opposition, rejection and ridicule from the village leaders and other family members who have not believed.  They are a light in a dark area and would appreciate your prayers!

And remember- as part of our team, you have the privilege along with us to be a part of this task which has eternal consequences and eternal dividends!

Because He deserves the glory in all,
Chad, Janeene, Elijah & Zeke
