Daily Scripture

"Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."

Psalm 37:5

In 1948 I, along with my parents and two siblings, visited the Ivis Bible Church in the hills of Kentucky. One year later we arrived in Brazil. My parents' job? To reach the many tribes with the Gospel. In 1961 I returned to the US to attend college. After a while I met this beautiful girl from Kentucky. She was also interested in becoming a missionary so we began dating. On a break from school we went to her Eastern Kentucky home and yes, to the same church where my parents had taken us in 1948! We were married after graduation and after further training with New Tribes Mission we headed to Brazil on the 6th of January of 1970 with our 11 month old son Jeff.

We were missionaries there until 1999, training missionaries and preparing teaching materials in Portuguese for our Brazilian missionaries. We also taught and cared for missionary children. The Lord gave us Karen, Karis and Anita while serving there in Brazil.

Since 1999 we have been living in Knoxville, TN, serving as Regional Representatives for New Tribes Mission. Our objective is to help churches in doing tribal missions around the world, mentoring future laborers and challenging each believer to live wholeheartedly to see all language groups reached with the Gospel.

Is there some way we can help you or your church to be involved in this great task?
