In the Philippines, eager Manobo people are approaching missionaries Trevor and Judy Clarke and Gene and Carol Trudeau to learn the Gospel of Christ.
Two new groups want to learn about the Creation and everything leading up to Christ. There is a possibility of a third group starting as well.
"One guy is our closest new neighbor and he is a real interesting character," Judy wrote. "We get along well with him, and he and his wife want to hear about the Lord. He is from a really bad background, but with the Lord they would be a huge influence around here."
The man's name is Manan, and his wife, Mi-an, just had their second baby. Their firstborn died last year due to illness.
Judy is eager for the teachings to continue and feels privileged to be involved in printing 33 sets of books to help teach Creation to Christ Bible lessons.
"It's all happening out here in the jungle," Judy wrote. "Doesn't this blow you away? This is [a] semi-remote 'nowhere land' and God's people are filtering through the jungle."
Apart from the teachings, the missionaries working with the Manobo people are also concerned about airstrip problems. Please pray that these issues get worked out. Pray too for the outreach teachers and that God will reach this tribe and help them to be an encouragement to one another.
