The 4th grade class at our church's school has adopted us as their missionaries. The kids are so sweet! We've had fun sending them letters, cookies, and visiting them at school. We are thankful to have this band of cute little prayer partners!
The kids have each written to us several times, and we've gotten a real kick out of their letters. One thing we've learned about 4th graders is that they switch gears quickly! We wanted to share a selection of their quotes with you, some touching and some funny. Enjoy!
"Thank you for the cookies. They were delicious. I had no idea what was in them but they were really good." - Brady
"Thank you for taking the time to write to us. I loved the letter that you sent to us. The cookies you sent us were the best I thought. By the way, thank you for making the cookies, they were the best again. We are going on a field trip." - Morgan
"We got a new puppy. Her name is Lucy. She can take down any dog. She made my ear bleed by biting it. She also likes paper, it's her favorite food. I also tried a Big Mac and ate the whole thing. My Dad will take me to Bob's Big Boy for the Big Boy Combo. If your baby is a girl, you should name her Miley or Hannah. Can't wait to see you again." - Brady
"Thank you very much for the delicious cookies. They were awesome! Thank you so much for giving all of us our own personal letters. I especially liked mine. You guys are very nice. I'm praying for you in the morning and at night." - Brandon
"Thank you for the wonderful cookies! Thank you for sending us all a message back. Do you know how to draw a lion? I made a lion in Art Class biting a bunny's ear off." - Kaitlyn

"Thank you for the cookies. I really appreciate you for answering my questions. We are going to our cousin's house. My tooth fell out just last week. You are so nice." - Aaron (This letter came complete with a color drawing of his bloody tooth.)
"How do you like being a missionary? Well, I hope you tell many people about Jesus!" - Micah
"How are things over there? Usually, I'm pretty talkative. I also make a lot of noises." - Jillian
"I am thinking of taking missionary classes too when I grow up. How is it in missionary class? I'm glad you are our class missionaries." - Vannesa
"I hope you will become very good missionaries. I will pray that you will become special missionaries. May God's blessings be with you." - Chris
"I'm wondering if I be a missionary and make many reach Jesus. I really like how you both became a missionary! May God bless you. Hope you make many Christian!" - Kriti
"I hope you have a good time being a missionary. I hope you teach people about Christ and what He did for us. Jesus will protect you. We are praying for you." - Marissa

"I am so happy and thankful that you are our missionaries. You are so lucky to go to Mexico and all of those other places. I hope you can go to Hawaii. If I was a missionary I would want to go to New York." - Marissa
"I am really glad you are our class missionaries. I have heard a lot about you. Today I fractured my finger. I have lots of questions for you. I am sorry you burned your face on a car. I have a brother and a sister. I have been praying for you." - Aaron (It seems everyone knows our burn story, so if you haven't heard it yet, ask us sometime!)
"Thank you for the letters. I liked them. P.S.: I still have mine. Was it hard to leave your family? When I grow up I want to be a pet trainer or a missionary! Have a fun time being a missionary!!!!" - Lillianne
"I miss you so much and wish you could come and speak again in our class. Where are you right now __________? We pray for you so much..." - Aaron (We especially liked the blank space he left for us to write in our answer!)
"Me, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Jared, Catherine, Marissa and Lily made a play. We're giving it to Mr. Tennant on Thursday. Brady is doing the sound effects." - Jillian
"This Friday is called Good Friday because we watch the Jesus Film. I hope you bring a large amount of people to Christ! I'll never forget you in my prayers!" - Kaitlyn
"Thanks for the letter. I liked it. P.S.: I still do! I still have it on my headboard! Caleb, are you taking good care of Rachel? I might get a desert tortoise or a dog! Are you excited? I am!!!!" - Lily
"My baby cousin can scoot backwards but he gets stuck under furniture." - Jillian
"It is Elijah again. Hope you are having a great time getting ready for Christmas. We have a tree up in the classroom. We are decorating it by bringing in ordements .... Did you know I spelled ornaments wrong?" - Elijah
"What is your favorite animal? My favorite animal is a horse, dog, ferret, cat and a skunk. Did you know that you can keep a skunk as a pet? All you have to do is get it's scent gland removed. A ferret is like a slinky." - Kaitlyn
"May God bless you. May you live a godly life. It is good to be a missionary. All our good wishes are with you. May you live long. We are praying for you. I pray for you every night. Hope you have an adventurous life." - Kriti
