Believe it or not, Melissa will have to learn how to drive a motorcycle in order to get around more efficiently and get to class (since she studies at a different time than Bryan so he can watch the kiddoes). So, what do we need? A motorcycle that Melissa can drive!
Cultrual Insight of the Month - IDUL FITRI
(Nov 1, 2008)
Life came to a sudden halt across Indonesia as most Indonesians paused to celebrate Idul Fitri with their families and friends. Although October 1st and 2nd is the actual holiday, many take off the week before and/or after to go back to their family village or tribe to celebrate, so life was quite different for the weeks surrounding October 1st and 2nd. Compared to America's Thanksgiving and Christmas combined, Idul Fitri is the biggest and most awaited holiday of the year and brought a boat-load of interesting experiences and cultural insights which we thought we'd share with you.

Answered Prayer
(Aug 25, 2008)
A very wise man once told us how important it is to keep a journal to remind us of God's Goodness to us. Some things might seem very small, or insignificant, but I can't tell you how much it has meant to us to know that God cares about even the smallest of things and what an encouragement it has already been to look back and see God's provision and intervention at just the right time.

Years of training, seeking the Lord's guidance and lots of packing is about to pay off. Lord willing, the next correspondence you will hear from us will be from the foreign fields of Indonesia!
Why do I Ever Worry?
(Jul 11, 2008)
With the stress of preparing to move overseas and the constant reports of conflicts, traumas and economic downturns, it is easy to forget who God says He is and start worrying. Yet just when I begin to question the Lord's faithfulness and guidance, He reminds me that HE is the God of the Impossible, able to be trusted and worthy of all praise.
