Bryan passed his first language evaluation and is progressing to Unit 2. Since language learning has proven a challenge for him, he was really encouraged to have passed his first unit. Melissa also took an evaluation and is allowed to begin at Unit 2 as well. So, Unit 2, here we come!
We are excited to be studying together – as we can help each other understand what is going on (all instruction is in Indonesian, as is our textbooks!), yet Melissa is really struggling with having to leave Andrew with a sitter every morning. He seems to be adjusting well, and is now able to sing Indonesian songs, thanks to our Indonesian helper, but we would appreciate your prayers as we attempt to balance school, ministry and family. Also continue to pray for us as we undertake learning Indonesian. It is quite the feat, but we know the Lord has brought us here and thus will enable us!
