This is Durian - a fruit that many Indonesians adore.

It stinks and makes everything around it stink too. They even make ice cream out of this... but believe me, it is a far cry from vanilla and leaves a very bitter taste in your mouth. So if you're ever shopping for ice cream, be sure and read the label, don't just look at the color. This exotic fruit is not something I would recommend.

Nasi Goreng - Fried Rice.

This is a traditional Indonesian meal, very common and very yummy. Can be served with meat or no meat and the vegetables of your choice.

Follow this link for the recipe!

An Indonesian Mushroom.

Used in many different dishes, these mushrooms havse little taste, but in the Indonesian's mind, really dresses up the dish. We don't mind them so much now, but when we first saw them and tried to eat them, they wiggled like worms... Needless to say, even Andrew picked them out of his food.
