One corner of missionary Rachel Searcy's office in Indonesia is buzzing with activity as nine student typists learn to coordinate their fingers on the computer keyboard.
"Most of the kids who are practicing are learning to type in order to play the typing games," wrote Rachel.
But Rachel will put their new-found skills to other productive projects. She and her Punan co-worker, Hinon, have finished working through ten more sections of the book "How the Jews Lived."
The book is Rachel's first translation project and a stepping-stone to translating the Scriptures.
They still have a few more hours of work to do on the material, but have completed the first part of the draft. Hinon took a break from the book work to go upriver.
"I have plenty to do while she is gone, but it would have been nice to have [it] finished," Rachel wrote.
Please pray that the book will soon be finished and clearly understood by the Punan readers. Pray too that Rachel and her Punan co-workers will be able to accurately translate God's Word.
