Missionary kid Brad meets Lancaster County, PA girl Rebecca in Indiana! Their lives together began at Grace College in Winona Lake, IN as Brad majored in biology education and Rebecca pre-medicine.
Even before knowing each other, each knew that God would have them involved in global missions in some way. After being married on July 10, 1999, Brad and Rebecca moved to Allentown, PA where Rebecca enrolled in the DeSales University physician assistant program and Brad substitute taught in a local school district. By 2002, Rebecca was working full-time as a physician assistant and Brad had found a full-time job with a chemical company in New Jersey. In two years, school loans were able to be paid off and Brad and Rebecca entered pre-field missionary training at Jersey Shore, PA in August of 2004.
Brad and Rebecca have now completed the two years of pre-field training with New Tribes Mission and are preparing to leave for Brazil in June 2007. God has burdened their hearts for the unreached tribal people groups of Brazil. They rejoice in how God has guided and cared for them during their 7 years of marriage and look forward to what God has in store for them as they continue to follow Him.
A little about Brad:
Brad enjoys the outdoors and specifically loves to hunt and fish. His greatest hunting adventures include an elephant hunt in Africa with two African conservation officers and a veteran missionary and going after alligators in Brazil. He is also a news junkie and enjoys following current events. Brad enjoys non-fiction books by authors such as Philip Yancey and Ravi Zacharias and novels by John Grisham.
A little about Rebecca:
Rebecca loves to be active, and if there is a lively soccer game going on, she is hoping to be asked to join in. She also enjoys running and playing most any other sport as well. When indoors, she enjoys reading a good book by Bodie Thoene or watching her favorite movie, "Pride and Prejudice" with her sisters. Rebecca also likes to put in an upbeat CD and clean house as a good stress reliever.
