A Tala Andig man and his wife, Benji and Jinila, have placed their faith in Christ.

Twenty Tala Andig men teach Bible lessons on Sundays and throughout the week at various villages in the Philippines. Fifteen women teach Bible lessons in the neighboring village schools, disciple the women in their village and travel to outlying villages once a month to teach on ladies topics.

It was after hearing evangelistic Bible lesson series taught by a team of four Tala Andig Bible teachers that Benji and Jinila trusted Christ.

The couple attend one of three classes held each Sunday. They meet together for singing and then split into three groups for teaching.

Benji loves to learn, and his excitement over what Jesus did for him is contagious. He loves to read God's Word. "I need to get my own Bible, so I can read it whenever I want, and then maybe I could be a Bible teacher some day."

Jinila told missionary Josh Moffit that when the teaching began she really didn't want to listen to God's Word. But when she heard the whole story, starting in Genesis and going on to the resurrection of Christ, she was so glad she had listened. "Before, in our religion, we just jumped around and God's story was never clear. But when we heard the evangelistic lessons, they started from the beginning and it was so clear."

The lessons were taught over a period of six months. As light began to dawn both Benji and Jinila became more excited. Benji has totally embraced his new faith and desires to pass it on.

Pray that Benji and Jinila will continue to listen to God's Word and obey it. Pray also that they will have the courage to tell their family and neighbors what they have learned from God's Word.
