After having had the privilege of serving in West Africa for over ten years with the Glaro tribe, Carol and I are now helping to train missionary candidates for tribal church planting ministries around the world.

We have had the opportunity to struggle through learning another language and culture.  We have experienced first hand what it is like to develop relationships with people who have such a vastly different world view from our own.  We have seen the Lord's enabling and have experienced His faithfulness to protect and keep us through political upheaval in Liberia and Ivory Coast.

Those political problems have taken us out of our tribal ministry for the present .  We count it a privilege, however, to now be a part of the training staff of NTM's Missionary Training Center.  Barry is involved primarily with the equipping of men and women in the areas of culture and language acquisition. Carol's ministry is the child-care department.
