At present I am on furlough, but my normal ministry is teaching the children of missionaries. The past two year, I have been teaching kindergarten in the morning and ESL in the afternoon. It has been fun to help Spanish speaking children adjust to English at all levels.
Our school covers grades K - 12. We have children from various countries - Canada, England, Korea, Mexico, and the United States. During my spare time, I like to help at the orphanages in the area. We have a Servant Evangelism Team (SET) that helps me with these ministries. Over the years, we have helped the children at the orphanages with their chores, made meals for them, and played with the children. Several churches have helped me give money, clothes, buy necessities for these orphanages. Also, I have been helping with some neighbors in my neighborhood who struggle financially and with other problems. It is hard for women to get work when they have little children to care for. Some are new believers and struggle with bad choices from their past.
Pray that while I am on furlough, my support will increase so that I can hire, help and give jobs to my neighbors. |
