Daily Scripture

"Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness."

Psalm 37:3

My country home
My country home

I live in Chihuahua City, Chihuahua, Mexico.

This is a city of 700,000 people.

It is a town that began with mining as their main industry. Now they have factories and a large University that brings in a variety of people.

I own a house in a small town outside of Chihuahua. This is a small village made up of small dairy and cattle ranches along with recreation homes and land used to get away from the city and relax.  On the weekends the area sounds like a campground with people having picnics, outside barbecues, games of baseball or soccer, music and dancing.

Many of the people who live on the this small farm area during the week range from second generaion tribal people to the spanish farmers.  Everyday the dairy cows walk past my house to graze in the fields beyond. Then they return in the evening.

The pace is much slower here than it is in the city.

Snow on the road in front of my house.
