THUNDERSTORMS OF BLESSING

It rained all night long as a huge thunderstorm rumbled through.

June 25, 2008

by Brian Johnson

As their water tanks got lower and lower in the Uriai tribe, missionary M'liss Spero and her partners began to pray for rain.

With no rain for almost two weeks, they had been forced to drastically reduce their water usage. That meant holding off on washing laundry, taking ultra-short showers and even cutting down on toilet flushing.

The next day their prayers were answered.

In a big way.

It rained all night long as a huge thunderstorm rumbled through their area. The following night it rained so hard that the rising river almost washed their boat away.

With full water tanks and grateful hearts, the missionaries thanked God for His timely provision.

Pray for rain for the Uriai missionaries as they prepare for teaching literacy and the Gospel. They are totally dependent on the Lord to provide them with precipitation during the rapidly approaching dry season.
