The Bagwido people of Papua New Guinea heard the Gospel message in April. Now they meet together on Sunday mornings to praise God for all He has done for them.
Last Sunday one of the new believers prayed, "Oh Great Creator Being, Our God, You alone only, only You are on top. Thank you for this good, sweet talk from your Word. What you have said is true, you did send your son Jesus to die and buy our sin. Oh God, we will only hang up (depend) on You. We are under the protection and authority of You only. Give us good thoughts and please steer our thinking. Help us not to hang up on any other thing, but only to hang up on You."
Missionary Mark Woodard recorded several other testimonies during Sunday morning. Kasper stood to thank God for saving him. "These guys (the missionaries) went step-by-step as they taught us and uncovered every root. Then we came to the head of the talk, of Jesus dying for our sins, and we could clearly understand His life message. Before I just did what I thought I was supposed to do, going to a service on Sunday and saying and doing right things. I never knew who or what I was worshiping. But now I know the truth. We worship the One true God, our Creator Being."
Pray that the Bagwidos will continue to grow in their walk with the Lord. Pray too for Mark as he shepherds and guides the new believers.
