Missionaries in Indonesia are anticipating the arrival of a long-awaited helicopter.
The central region of Indonesia, due in part to the rugged terrain, has been without a flight program for more than 20 years. The missionaries' answer to prayer should be forthcoming in early 2008 and will allow access to many tribes who still need the Gospel.
Bryan Abbott, a maintenance specialist with NTM Aviation, is scheduled to attend an eight-day training course in January 2008. The course is required by the company that manufactures the helicopter.
Bryan will be primarily responsible for all the inspections, repairs and routine maintenance of the aircraft.
"To me, helicopters are an engineering marvel. They seem to defy physics," wrote Bryan. "They are simply complicated pieces of machinery that, if left alone, would utterly destroy themselves in seconds. However, when properly maintained and operated, they are a very useful and safe tool."
Praise God for His provision of this much-needed addition to the NTM Aviation fleet, and pray for its safe delivery to Indonesia.
