We received the news last night through Ellie's blog that "as of 7:45pm Mountain Time, Ellie has been dancing in Heaven!" Her parents John and Sarah were both with her at the end as Sarah "silently begged God to take her ... and then said 'run to Jesus, Ellie... run!' and it was over."
Please pray for John and Sarah and Ellie's younger brother Ethan, too. Their family and extended family are all very close. And while they have all been grieving and fighting this cancer for a long time now, the finality of it all can be a heavy weight.
Pray also for our family as this touches us deeply. God gave Alex a dream night before last that gave her a glimpse of the heavenly realm. And that made it all the more meaningful to not only grieve the loss of her best friend, but also to rejoice that Ellie is dancing some of her favorite ballet steps with Jesus right now.
