Wusuraambya Bible Church God's Word continues to transform lives in the Wusuraambya tribe. Through chronological Bible teaching many have come to realize that the only way to be reconciled to God is through the finished work of Christ on the cross. The chronological teaching was first taught by Andrew Goud. Andrew then passed the baton to Willis who in turn trained his brother Jesi, as well as Alek and Josek. Now Willis is training two more men, Winson and Juuluki to become teachers. It is thrilling to see the enthusiasm as they teach.
 Willis Jesi Josek Alek
Juuluki Winson These six Bible teachers are sharing the responsibility of teaching the believers chronologically through the Bible, showing that Christ is the fulfillment of all the prophecies in the Old Testament. Soon they will be teaching the newer believers through the book of Acts, and they will also begin teaching the older believers through the book of Romans for the first time. Pray that the truths of Romans will be an encouragement to them. And as these young men teach the adult believers Kena (Willis's wife) teaches the children's Church.
Big changes in the Wusuraambya Ministry Team: In July 2008 God directed Terry and Rosie Banman to join the Highlands' Region leadership team, an urgent need as our Chairman prepares for furlough in 2009. Then only a few months later Darryl and Becky Jordan also announced their retirement from the Wusuraambya ministry. They are in the process of relocating to a place near their son Stephen in the Philippines, where they will spend their remaining years of ministry managing a guesthouse among other responsibilities. We praise God however, for the team of faithful workers that He has given us in Willis, Kena, Jesi, Josek, Alek, Winson, Juuluki and others who are all actively participating in the work of teaching, discipleship, and translating of the lessons and Scripture. We rest in the fact that none of the recent changes came as a surprise to God. He continues His work among the Wusuraambya people and we consider it an honor that God has chosen to use us too, to continue His work here. |
