Okweb feels his sin is too great to attend the teaching sessions with everyone else. But he wants to hear the missionaries teach God's Word in the Siawi language.
So he built a small addition on the side of the meeting house and made his own door to it.
He only allows certain people to sit in "his" room -- those who feel they can't join the others in the main building because of sin in their lives or unresolved arguments.
"We rejoice that these men are listening to the teaching," wrote missionary Linda Krieg, "whatever misconceptions they may hold."
Whatever their reasons, and wherever they sit, the Siawi people are soon to clearly hear the way God made for their sin debt to be paid. Not by good works. Not by ritual. And not by anything any man can do for them, but by Jesus Christ who willingly took the sinner's place.
Pray for the Siawis to clearly understand that God is offering them forgiveness and sweet fellowship with Himself.
