Mata, a Mibu woman, recently stopped attending evangelistic Bible lessons so she could get married.
She had attended lessons for a while, but her husband's village was several days' hike away and they spoke a different language.
So missionaries Joey and Brooke Tartaglia were grieved when news reached them that Mata had become very ill, and that an hour later she'd passed away. Mata had missed the most important lessons near the end, including the message of salvation.
But Mata's Aunt Eson had good news. She looked at Brooke and said, "Last time she visited, she stayed with her parents. I told her God's story. Her brother Mark also spent time telling her what God's Word says. We told her, and she believed. She is with God now. I miss her, but we will see her again."
Please pray that these Mibu believers will continue sharing the Word of God and reaching others like they did with Mata.
