The Tobo man in Papua New Guinea has done a super job as the main translation helper for missionary Chad Mankins, but as he translates scripture he is finding that it is different from what he has been taught by another religious group.
He is afraid that he will be banished and ridiculed if he begins to believe something else. And he would have to admit that what he has believed for years has been false.
Chad and his co-worker, Jason Knapp, presented the Gospel in January and several Tobos believed.
Recently Jason and a Tobo believer, Paulas, sat down with Rigo and clearly shared the message of salvation.
"Pray that the Spirit would be working in his heart, and that he would believe the Gospel of grace," Jason wrote. "His heart is in turmoil right now, and we need prayer that he would choose to believe in Jesus' finished work on the cross."
