Daily Scripture

"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart."

Psalm 37:4

TOBO MAN: "SHE'S GOING TO HEAVEN TOO"

Ankle

February 23, 2007

by Dena McMaster

Ankle, a Tobo believer in Papua New Guinea, has been praying for his wife, Nara, and telling her about Jesus every day. Tuesday evening she trusted Christ.

He was so excited and wanted to tell missionary Jason Knapp that Nara was a believer. Ankle said, "If I had died and gone to heaven, and my wife didn't, it would not have been right. She needs to go too. Now Jesus has grabbed her and she is going to heaven too, and I am so happy."

On Tuesday, Ankle went to fellowship with a core group of believers to talk about how to apply God's Word to their lives. He enjoyed it so much he wanted to stay until after dark. The meeting started at 10 a.m.

At yesterday's believers' meeting, taught by Jason, Ankle was delighted that he and Nara could come together.

Ankle continues to witness to all of his family. His father Yaka is sick. Ankle has tried to tell Yaka the Gospel message over and over again. But, Ankle told Jason, "He just listens and then just puts it to the back of his head."

Pray for Ankle and Nara to grow in the Lord together. Pray also that Ankle's desire to hear God's Word and his desire to tell others will continue.
