About 50 Patpatar people in Papua New Guinea are in their third week of listening to evangelistic Bible lessons.
This week they are hearing lessons about the fall of man, God's promise to send a deliverer and the offerings made by Cain and Abel.
Some of the people have said that the teaching is challenging their thinking. That was the point of one skit that missionaries Aaron Luse and Butch Kunzer acted out for the people last week.
In that skit, Butch was carrying a worn-out basket (a flat, woven basket in which some of the men like to carry a few belongings). Men usually discard such a worn basket, but in the skit Butch tried to patch it with new leaves.
The people thought it was hilarious, and Aaron and Butch hope it made the point "that you can't take your old thinking and just add some new thinking to your old. Sometimes you need to throw out your old thinking completely."
Please pray that the Patpatar people will pay close attention to the teaching, and that they will process it, understand it and place their faith in Christ.
