Daily Scripture

"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart."

Psalm 37:4

LAYING THE FOUNDATION

For the first time, Patpatar people are hearing God`s message to them in their own language.

September 10, 2008

by David Bell

During the first week of evangelistic Bible teaching among the Patpatar people of Papua New Guinea, missionaries Aaron Luse and Butch Kunzer laid the foundations of God as the Creator and owner of everything.

"It's kind of funny if you think about it," said one Patpatar leader. "It's kind of funny that two white strangers from America are teaching us in our tribal language.

"It is good though, because like you said, God wants us to clearly understand His Word. What you are teaching is good. It is already making things clear to us."

This week Aaron and Butch will teach about the creation of man, death as the consequence of sin, and the fall of Lucifer.

"Pray that the Patpatar people will continue to come and hear God's Word and that the Spirit of God will illuminate their understanding and draw them to Himself," Aaron wrote.
