PATPATAR PEOPLE HEAR GOD'S WORD

Aaron and Butch are teaching Bible Lessons to the Patpatar people.

September 4, 2008

by David Bell

The Patpatar people in Papua New Guinea began hearing evangelistic Bible lessons Monday morning.

Aaron Luse and Butch Kunzer will teach Monday through Friday mornings for the next three and a half months. The men have 40 of 60 lessons ready to teach. They still need to write and check the remaining 20 lessons.

The missionaries introduced a preliminary lesson at a recent community meeting, which created a lot of interest in the teaching.

Last week the newest member of the missionary team, Madonna Yates, was speaking with an elderly woman to encourage her to attend the teaching. Madonna asked the woman if she knew how a person would be accepted into heaven after death. The woman responded that a person had to get up early every morning and pray until lunch time.

"Well that would eliminate all of us I dare to say," Madonna wrote.

Please pray that the Patpatar people will attend the meetings faithfully and listen attentively to the Gospel presentation so that they will understand the truth about who is acceptable to God.
