During the past week, the Inanbimali people of Papua New Guinea have heard the true story of Jesus' birth.
As the missionaries explained Jesus' immaculate conception, one tribal man declared, "This was my big question. If we cannot save ourselves, this One coming had to be different. He could not be like us. Now I see and know He was different. He did not have the Adam part passed onto Him."
The Inanbimali people are anxiously waiting to hear what this Bridge-Man will do to make a way to God. Next week, they will hear about John the Baptist, the parable of the sower, the story of Jesus healing the paralytic, and the story of Levi the tax collector.
Missionary Brooks Buser is excited for his tribal friends to hear about "Jesus, and His relationships with people and His Father." Brooks is even more excited, though, to hear what his Inanbimali friends plan to do after the Bible teaching has ended and they know the whole story.
Job, one Inanbimali leader, said this, "This talk is not man's talk, it is God's talk. And if it is God's talk, then everyone should get a chance to hear it and decide for themselves. That is why when I am done, I will be heading to [his father's original village] and all my sisters will hear this talk and have the chance to know of the Bridge-Man."
Right away, two other tribal leaders agreed, "And we will go with you."
These Inanbimali men have not even heard the best part of the story, and they already want to share the Good News with people who have never had the chance to hear.
