This week missionaries will visit Wogeo people to ascertain whether a church planting team should move there.
The Wogeos live on two small islands off the coast of Papua New Guinea. Brandon Buser reports that the missionaries hope to meet the people and assess whether the language is currently used all over the islands. If they find the younger generation understanding and using the Wogeo language, it will be considered a viable language. That opens the possibility for a church planting ministry there.
Brandon and three other missionaries will spend two or three days on one island and then go to the other island for a few days.
Last month the team carefully researched available information on this people group. While the two islands are very different geographically, the culture and language are the same.
Pray that the missionaries will find the needed information concerning the Wogeo language. Pray also that they will begin to build relationships there and pave the way for a team of missionaries to plant a church there.
